Nurse Alliance RNs Elated Over White House Meeting

Ten SEIU RNs were invited by President Barack Obama to participate with him in the March 26, first-ever White House Town Hall Meeting. What a thrill it was for all nine of the SEIU RNs who were able to attend when the President unexpectedly called on 1199SEIU UHE RN Linda Bock to ask a question.

Each RN commented on the President's confidence and the ease he has with regular citizens-which they said put them at ease. Following the Town Hall, the nurses met with SEIU's grassroots member lobbyists and were escorted by them to lobbying appointments on Capitol Hill.
